The Black Book of Corsairs
|
|
On a pedestal near an eastern window is a book with black leather covers. Golden frames
secure the back cover of the book on the pedestal, making sure it is taken nowhere.
The black leather front cover is clean and smooth, and it has no title or other writing on it.
The pages of the book are written with a clear, calm flourish.
The first page reads:
This book is written for the members of the brotherhood and profession of Corsairs in
the City of Umbar. It is meant to share knowledge of the arts of raiding and sailing,
to help new Captains arise into fame and most Corsairs return to their homes rich and content.
This book is a part of the legacy left by the Lord of the Corsairs.
