Lore of Seaward Tower

(Historical Information)
|
The Tower of Seaward is known for its long tradition of Corsair warfare, and its strong noble Lords, from Armand Fenmore to Adrazor of the Eldrakhori. During the rule of the past few Lords, the Seaward Tower has grown a Fleet the likes of which has not been seen in Umbar for decades, and despite isolation and internal struggles, it has remained strong. A stronghold of Corsairs, the Seaward Tower continues to prosper in its own way, often scorned and criticised by the rest of Umbar. But also envied.
Provided here are the stories of Seaward's Lords, both past and present:
LeVaath: before 2995 to 2995. Disappeared silently. Gondor suspected.
Armand Fenmore: 2995 to 3003. Captured by Rohan during the Gondorian occupation of Umbar, believed killed there by Theoden. Later showed up in the south, proclaiming himself the new Emperor.
Daneel: 3009 to 3012. Once High Priest of the Dark Religion, Lord Daneel took the mantle of Lord of Seaward until he disappeared into the desert after the Lord of Flame, Namir, along with his Lieutenant Even. Captain Morrahd was left to govern in his place.
Lucasto ben-Jabar ben-Hassad al-Sayf: 3013 to 3015. Lord of the Seaward Tower, took the reign name Adrazor. He stepped down, disappearing from the city with his wife, lady Gaelle.
Helluin "Pentalion" Elrakhor: 3015 to 3016. Former Regent, Adrazor's Steward, his politics made him extremely unpopular. After news of a disastrous order became public, he was charged with treason and placed under house arrest in Seaward Tower. During his imprisonment he was spirited out of the Tower and murdered.
Andra'kel an'Selar: 3016 to 3017. After serving as Regent for a year and a day, Andrah was elected Lord of Seaward Tower. The summer after her ascension she suddenly disappeared, leaving the throne empty once again.
Khazamr Bar an-Azrazgarim: 3017 to ?. Originally rose into power through a coup, but soon proved himself to be a vicious and strong Corsair Lord. A feared legend in the land of Gondor, Khazamr is now the master of the Haven of the Gimilzain, and known widely as the Lord of Corsairs.
Cry: 3029. A Corsair who came to power through a bloodless coup, Cry brought the Seaward Tower back to activity and strength after many years of decline, reinvigorating it on both military, economic, and political levels. Rumours say she was murdered, but some Corsairs claim by their mother's grave that they have seen her in the Corsair Haven of the Gimilzain since. The void left by Cry's disappearance was filled by the Tower Captain Gunnar.
Mahir "Mazrakhor" Ben-Jezreel: 3031 to 3034. Known as the Serpent Lord of the South among his own people and the Devil of Umbar to his foes in Gondor, Mazrakhor rose from his station as a simple Corsair to become the master of Seaward and Senior Lord of Umbar. A pupil of the Dread Corsair Khazamr and champion of one of the Black Riders, his reign was one of iron strength, but ended in mystery after his rumoured death on the shores of Gondor.
Rachotai 'Lominakh' Bin-Belaji: 3036 to Present. Former crime lord of Umbar, this eccentric and flamboyant Seaward Lord took the reign name "Lominakh" or "Bringer of Night" when Regent and younger brother Azhar stepped down after an injury rendered him unable to rule. Lominakh's ability to organize and unite those under his rule is unsurpassed, and his capacity for merciless vengeance, incomparable. It is this vengeance that fuels his current campaign against the Gondorians who caused Azhar's injuries.
