Supporting Characters

These are people of note in Umbar who are currently played by players as temps, alts or are NPC's. If you spend any amount of time within Umbar, chances are you would know these people's names, if not their faces.

Azhar -  Boy Steward of Seaward Tower.

Latanya - A young woman of Black Tower, whose loyalty, strong will and determination was recognized by the Lady Yaslyn and given a position within the Tower as scribe. 

Na'ilah - Na'ilah was born to a whore and an unknown father, the second of two daughters. Afraid to become anything close to her mother, she foolishly ran off at a young age with a boy whom she assumed was as enamored with her as she was with him. Alas, this was not so, and after converting her to the Flame Tower, Na'ilah was forced to fend for herself. Becoming a professional dancer, her fierce spirit and natural grace made her a popular entertainer... Unfortunately a little too popular, and soon she was pressured to take up a new career alongside her dancing-- Something far too close to her mother's profession.

And so she left, yet again, for another tower, this time Desert where she rejoined her sister. And yet another tower-swap was to come after her beau, Azhar, and his brother, the current Seaward Lord, took over the tower. Since Azhar fell ill, her presence in Seaward has become lessened as she cares for him abroad.

Salmeen “One Eyed Wolf” Dhareesh – Former pit fighting champion of Umbar, Salmeen is a towering giant of a man with one eye and a killer grip.  Now in his late 40’s, Salmeen spends his time working as a trainer for young fighters eager to make a name for themselves in the Umbar Stadium.  A giant with a heart of gold, he used to live next door to the brothers, Rachotai and Azhar when they were growing up.   

Serano bin Prabhu - A nobleman from an ancient family, Serano bin Prabhu is the wealthy patriarch of House bin Prabhu.  This quintessential politician enjoys the perks and privileges that comes from being the City Planner. 

Madame Hydra - She is the infamous slave trader who enjoys throwing her considerable weight around the wealthy of Umbar.  This behemoth of a woman travels reclined upon a chaise, carried by a small army of well-oiled slaves.   

Omkarm - He was born somewhere in the depths of Umbar, to parents who cannot be recalled. Omkarm was sold to the Dark Citadel as a mere child and given this name as a simple device of identification. Over the years, he became a Priest within the Citadel, and his specialty became swaying the masses to the Eye. Watch carefully, for Omkarm, (Sometimes called Omar by 'the faithful', those souls he has personally made more zealous) is more often in the streets than the Citadel..   

Ankhor 'Safed' Majid - Born into the Farside House of Majid, Ankhor was schooled in both fine and martial arts. He was given a chance to prove them both. His history is littered with duels; of both mind and body. There have been many; fifty years leaves time for such things. However, no greater was his passion for anything other than his zeal for the Worship of the Heroes. His criticizers will tell you: he has not stepped foot in the Citadel as long as the oldest minds can remember. Though you should not press them, they will not say more. 

Zhorah - The hard drinking yeoman of the Arvada.
